Carriage Mounted Spreader Bar - This kind of mast consists pf three sections as the name implies. The outer part is attached firmly to the lift vehicle. The next part telescopes in the mounted outer part and the inner most section telescopes within the intermediate part. Both the middle and the internal part elevate and the lift cylinders lengthen. Once again in this model, the fork carriage rides in the interior section. The 3 stage mast provides a shorter lowered height than the 2 stage mast. The common usage of the 3 stage mast is in areas like for instance doorways where overhead clearances are limited. This mast is normally equipped with a center cylinder so as to allow the fork carriage raise several distance before the mast parts commence lengthening.
The 2 Stage Mast includes two parts. The internal section telescopes within the external and elevates as the lift cylinders lengthen. The outer section of this mast model is mounted to the lift truck. The fork carriage is situated in the internal part. This particular mast type has a taller lowered height as opposed to an equivalent 3 stage mast or lift height quad mast.
